Baba Dham is only about a two minute walk away, which was the one good thing about the location. The room was very small and uncomfortable, and the washroom was horribly dirty. Both looked completely different from the pictures the owner had attached. The person we spoke to on the phone was humble, but the other owner there was a little unprofessional. I wouldn’t recommend this lodge. There are other lodges in the same lane. In reply to your comment, putting the blame on your customers doesn’t excuse the lack of professionalism. Let’s stick to what happened. If washing clothes is prohibited, that needs to be in the do’s and don’ts or explained by staff on the first day. Just hours before we left, someone from your own family told us we could wash clothes and dry them on the roof. The policy should have been made clear from day one. A host should speak politely. On day two, someone shouted at our family and threatened to throw our shoes away because they were outside the room. You mentioned other customers complaining, but we were the only guests on that floor. The only other person there was the rude owner, staying next door. The amount charged was completely unjustified. The room wasn’t worth the price. Basic respect and polite communication are part of hospitality whether a room is cheap or luxurious. This was a serious failure of basic management and communication on your end. Instead of blaming paying guests for your shortcomings, you should improve your hospitality and learn how to treat people.
