Nomads Heaven Desert Camp

We didn't stay overnight at Nomads Heaven, but the camp's outdoor seating for the cultural show made for a memorable evening. Local folk musicians sang lively songs, little ghoomar dancer Monica was talented, and the world renowned khartal player was a treat. Before that, we rode camels at sunset, a peaceful experience, with the dunes looking blissful in the fading light. Our experienced, knowledgeable guide, 70 year old Abhay, cared for both guests and animals with such cheer and simplicity. The animals were well looked after, and the guides' unhurried pace added to the calm. The food was local, fresh, and delicious. Real Desert Man Safari coordinated our February 2026 sunset ride as a couple, including hotel pickup and drop-off, and our driver played great music. Stops included Kuldhara abandoned village, which you could skip, and a natural oasis. Nomads is a delightfully rustic spot in Jaisalmer's hinterlands, with the warmth and hospitality associated with Rajasthani royal culture. The main shortcoming was the lack of decent outdoor washroom and water facilities for evening visitors, though the tents do have separate wash areas. A desert experience worth having in the heart of the Thar.

The tents were clean and comfortable, and our night under the stars was magical. We enjoyed the sunset views, camel ride, beautiful cultural performances, and delicious food. The peaceful setting away from crowds gave the place an authentic desert feel. Sawai Dan and his brother Sumer Dan were wonderful hosts, arranging everything smoothly, from luggage pickup to the New Year's special party. Mr. Swaroop Sa also took great care in organizing the camel safari and jeep ride. He made us feel like family rather than guests. The food, folk music, and thoughtful arrangements made the trip memorable. I'd recommend this for anyone visiting Jaisalmer for a warm, authentic desert experience.

We planned our whole Jaisalmer trip, city and dunes, through them, and it was worth every penny. Everything was hassle-free and well organized, from airport pickup to the transfer out of the city. Swaroopji, Ashwiniji, and the nomad team arranged all our activities and went above and beyond to help us get to our next destinations in Rajasthan. Beautiful property, great food, and people with genuinely warm smiles. The hospitality was superb.

A perfect 10/10 stay, with spotless, well-kept rooms and good wifi. Tarif bhai took us on an exceptional jeep safari, and Dhallo made the camel ride fantastic. Many thanks for the great hospitality from Khete Khan, Thanu Khan, Santosh, DJ, Mahesh bhai, Prakash, Monica, and Anwar ji. The stay was wonderful and memorable.
