Hotel Chandrakala Regency

I stayed one night in May 2026 and paid Rs1800 for the room. When I asked for a bill, they said GST would be added on top. Late at night, there was unwanted noise from what sounded like drilling or running above the ceiling, which disturbed my sleep. It’s near railway station platforms 7-8. Everything else was okay.

A very clean, well-kept hotel, with polite staff and good treatment of customers. It’s very good for families and friends. 10/10.

The owner and manager were polite and behaved very well. The hotel is close to Dhanbad railway station, and the rooms and washrooms are clean, spacious, and well maintained. All the facilities were in good shape.

The best thing here is probably the location. It’s just 300 meters from Dhanbad Railway Station. Exit at platform 7, walk 3-4 minutes to Purana Bazar, and you’ll find the hotel on the second floor of the market. It’s a decent place with standard, clean rooms, though you can hear some market noise. I was in Dhanbad for one day to take a railway technician exam. I hadn’t found a place after learning my exam city, but eventually got this room at a decent rate. I booked through GoIbobo with a coupon and paid 1300 for an AC double room. A friend decided to join us, so I told reception at check-in that we’d have one extra person. They were polite and gave us a three-bed room for an additional Rs 500. The free Wi-Fi wasn’t very fast, but it worked. Food wasn’t included, and the meals were a little expensive but okay. There was also a work table, charging point, and sink in the room.
