Backpackers Hostel

The room does have a good outside view, but the first impression indoors wasn't good. The hotel feels old, the doors are outdated, and there were visible stains on the walls. The general ambience wasn't pleasant. Reaching it is also a hassle: from the main road you go down 114 steps, follow a narrow path, then climb more stairs to get to the third-floor reception. I wouldn't book based only on the owner's photos. There are other nearby hotels in better condition for the same price or even less.

The rooftop space is roomy, and from there and the private balcony you get spectacular mountain views. The rooms themselves were clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere was peaceful. The catch is finding the place. It's tucked into a narrow space with no visible signage, so first-time visitors may struggle. If you can make your way through the tight lanes, the scenery and quiet make it worthwhile.

Ganesh Bhaiya deserves a special mention for keeping standards high and making sure guests have a memorable stay. I loved my time at this Backpackers Inn, Mcleodganj. The place felt warm, stylish, and so relaxing that I was comfortable right away. The service and ambience both showed real thought and care. I'd recommend it and would be glad to come back.

The rooms were tidy and well looked after, and the food tasted great. Staff were polite, helpful, and quick to respond whenever we asked for something. The location, cleanliness, and atmosphere were all just right, and our stay was very comfortable. Thanks for the warm hospitality. We'd recommend the place and would love to return.
