We agreed on a fixed price for three days and paid it. On the second day, as we were heading out for a trek, the hotel asked for an advance for day three. We reminded them we'd already paid for the full stay, but they denied it and demanded another ₹2000. When we wouldn't pay, they kept our earlier payment instead of refunding it. The single-bed room was overpriced too. You can find better places for the same price. This hotel is a scam.

We had a comfortable stay, and the rooms on the top floor have a great view. Both the staff and manager were extremely helpful whenever anything came up. There was a technical problem that caused an accidental double booking. The manager readily worked with the booking agency to fix it, even though it was a difficult and inconvenient task.

My room and bed were clean and comfortable. When I became ill in McLeod Ganj and could hardly walk, the Hotel Hill Town staff brought me tea and water every day. I messaged them about what I needed on WhatsApp, and the manager also ran errands for me when I couldn't manage at first. He even gave me a lift on his scooter when I needed to get cash from an ATM. I'm very grateful for their kindness. I had to order all my meals from Jimmy's Asian Kitchen each day, and the food there is excellent.

We were a group of 30 and stayed for two nights. The location is perfect, the rooms are very clean, and the hot water worked really well. The staff were friendly and helpful. The stairs are a bit long, but good exercise, especially for people with diabetes. CHUNDI Sherpa

The rooms are decent and the service is good. It's a bit hard to find the hotel, and you have to go down stairs to reach it, but I'd recommend staying here.
