The view from my room made the stay at Hotel Oak Valley extra special, and the food was delicious and nicely prepared. The staff were kind, cooperative and always willing to help, so I felt comfortable the whole time. I had a wonderful visit and would recommend the hotel for a pleasant, relaxing stay.

The rooms were my weakest point, and could use better photos, decent bedsheets, and proper lighting. Amenities deserve five stars, they provided everything. The location gets 4.5, since it's easy to reach from Dharmashala parking. Staff were very friendly.

Our January 24 booking under the name Chetan was moved to another, downgraded hotel called kumar residency before check-in, without warning. The staff weren't supportive. Breakfast and dinner didn't arrive on time, the food wasn't good, and the bedsheets were very dirty. Our room heater wasn't there when needed, and there was no generator. Personal suggestion, don't book here.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the food was delicious. Friendly staff and great views made it a perfect spot for a relaxing mountain getaway. Excellent stay!

There isn't a view from the ground or first floor, so I'd pick an upper-floor room. The rooms are quite old and need maintenance, and they charge for packaged water. The neighboring hotel Mandanya is newly built and 5-star, so it may be a better choice.
