La Siesta

The only thing that seemed pricey was breakfast: four paranthas, three with dahi and one with butter, plus four cups of chai cost ₹550. The paranthas were quite good, but the bill felt a little high. We were initially unsure about staying here because someone suggested Dharamkot for trekking. After watching a few videos, my friends and I chose this hostel and were glad we did. The price was amazing, the beds were clean and comfortable, and the woman running the place was very sweet and kind. It seems like a good, safe option for solo travellers, especially girls. We set off from Bhagsu at around 8 in the morning and reached the hostel around 3 PM. We took lots of breaks, sat down several times, and stopped for photos, so the timing depends on your stamina. We saw many people struggling to reach the top. It was a pleasant stay.

Ajay made the stay memorable with his great hospitality from the start, and he helped me a lot. The room was fully satisfactory for such a low price, and the people were nice to talk with. I had a lovely time at La siesta and would return if I’m in Himachal again.

I slept very well here. The bed and room were comfortable, with a duvet, personal light, charging point, soap, locker, fan, and drinking water. The shower, tidy washroom, good wifi, quick-heating geyser, jet spray, and exhaust fan were all there too. There are lots of plants, seating, and a swing in the shaded outdoor common area/cafe. A clean, peaceful place with a homely feel.

The guy who cooks and looks after the place was lovely and helpful. Our room at la siesta was really clean and nice, with a beautiful balcony. We had a great stay, recommended!
