Raku's Place by OYO Rooms

You can see snow-covered mountains from the hotel, and the rooms are spacious. The balcony looks over local shops and tourists browsing there. There's a bar and cafe downstairs, with lots of other cafes nearby. It's one of OYO's budget hotels, close to the Bhagsunag Taxi stand. From German bakery, turn left and continue up the road. The food was good, though a little expensive, and the tea got worse with every order.

I spent nearly two months at Raku's and had a wonderful time. The staff were friendly, polite and accommodating, and the service was unmatched. Their smoothies are divine, and honestly, I think the coffee is the best in all of Himachal. I made great friends and memories there, and I'll definitely return. Be sure to try the steaks too.

We stayed in both a family suite and a classic room. They were clean, and breakfast was available with 3-4 food options, though room service was the only service. It's a good hotel choice around Mcleodganj bhagsu, and most things were great. I would have given five stars, but there were a couple of problems: the power backup failed one morning, and the towels they gave us the next day were already dirty. They should improve those things.

The rooms were clean and big enough, and the facilities were good. My only issue was the steep climb up to the hotel, though that's expected with a hill-side location. One suggestion: air the rooms out or use room spray before check-in.
