The Pitstop Hotel

The food and service were alright, but the washrooms smelled extremely bad. We had to switch rooms several times, and every one had the same problem.

The rooms were clean and well kept, and the staff were helpful and clearly well trained. I was especially impressed by the chef's cooking. We also met the owner, Mr Kaw, and some of the senior staff, who came across as real professionals. The hotel had only just opened during our stay from 14 to 16 April 2025, so they said some facilities would likely be added within about a week. It was in a good location, and we left with a memorable impression.

The rooms felt airy, with balconies on two sides looking out over the forest, and the food was good. The setting is lovely, with mountains in front, forest behind, and a stream alongside the property. It’s about 7 km from McLeodganj. This is a new property being developed by Xenious group.

The food was exceptional, and the place itself was lovely to visit. Beautiful mountains surround the property, giving it a peaceful feel. I had a good experience.
