The staff were welcoming and thoughtful about our comfort, and they offered advice on places to visit nearby. The hotel has lovely views over Kangra valley, too. Its old colonial character comes through in the detailed fretwork, chandeliers, and collection of old photos and newspaper cuttings from the time of Indian independence. We had a wonderful stay, thank you so much!

The wooden windows were a lovely spot to sit with a drink and take in the surroundings, one of the highlights of my trip. Welcome Heritage Grace Hotel has carved wooden balconies, warm interiors, and greenery all around. The mornings were quiet and calm, and the evenings felt cozy. Rooms and common spaces were well kept and full of character without seeming dated. The staff were polite and attentive, making everything feel easy. I had a wonderful stay and would happily return for a comfortable, authentic-feeling heritage experience.

The evening bonfire set up for us was a real highlight. We booked two rooms and travelled with our three-year-old. The hotel is clean throughout, scenic, and centrally located, with good food and a generous, delicious breakfast. Our rooms were already heated when we arrived. The staff were courteous, and manager Mr Inderjeet Rana handled the property well with his team. We’d love to come back to relax away from the crowd, and I’d highly recommend it for a stay in Dharamshala.

Dharamshala is awe-inspiring, and this quirky hotel has an interesting history. Each room has its own style and opulent decor. The friendly, attentive staff gave us a personal tour of the rooms Ghandi had visited and Mountbatten had stayed in.
