Hotel Amar Digha

The location was good, and room service was good too. We spent two days at this hotel during a family holiday in Digha last March, in a superior road-view room that was tidy and clean. It had an electric kettle but no tea kit. Breakfast was included, but they offered only one or two limited choices and none tasted good. We ate lunch and dinner at the in-house restaurant; the food was fresh, though not especially delicious. We appreciated that they prepared food for our one-year-old as we requested.

The rooms are spacious, clean and classy, and the location is very good. The restaurant food is just okay, but the portions are very small. I wouldn’t recommend eating there, though staying at the property is an option.

The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere, and the food was amazing. The hotel is in a very good location, just 2-3 minutes away, and the rooms are spacious, neat and clean. Staff were friendly and supportive. The receptionist was especially helpful, polite and respectful. I had an amazing experience and highly recommend it.

The room was only average, and I was disappointed there wasn’t a balcony. Staff kept pressuring us to eat lunch at the hotel restaurant, which felt unprofessional and uncomfortable. We eventually ordered dinner there at 9:30 pm and were told it would arrive by 10:15, but it didn’t come until after 11. We called several times and kept hearing that it would take longer. We had asked for extra plates when ordering, but when we reminded the staff member at delivery, he was very rude. The food was poor and not worth the wait or the price. If you stay here, it’s better to avoid the restaurant. 👎👎
