OYO 9746 Samudra Kannya Guest House

The owner and service boys were pleasant, and the rooms were clean. There were no hidden charges or funny business. It was a pleasing place for a family to rest for 3-4 days. Both the sea beach and main road are an 8-10 minute walk away.

The food was good in both quality and quantity, and the staff provided very good service and behaved well. The hotel is clean and well maintained, with reasonable rates, though prices are slightly on the high side. More or less, it’s a good place to stay and enjoy a holiday.

There are no sea-facing rooms, but the hotel is just a 2-minute walk from New Digha sea beach. The rooms are tidy, clean, and up to OYO standards, and the staff are helpful with nice behaviour. The restaurant food was delicious, cheap, and tasty, so I’d eat in-house rather than go out.

This place works well for solo travellers, families, or guests with elderly people who are comfortable with a few rules. Samudra Kannya Guest House is in New Digha, within walking distance of the sea beach and beside the by lane of M-Plaza. The guest house is secure, with CCTV throughout the building and a strict no-entry and no-check-in period from 11 pm to 5 am. Guests must carry their Aadhar Cards. Rooms are spacious, clean, and airy, with a wardrobe, chairs, tables, dresser drawers, TV, telephone, and AC. Staff are polite and efficient, but they stick to their working hours, so service isn't available 24/7. Order food and request room cleaning on time. Anyone wanting to order one thing or another at any hour may be disappointed.
