Prateek Residency by Goroomgo

Everything was spotless, from the bedding to the bathroom, and hygiene clearly mattered here. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well maintained, with the necessary amenities: AC, Wi-Fi, comfortable beds, a flat-screen TV, and a tidy bathroom.

Hotel Prateek in New Digha did not honor my online booking through Booking.com for June 13-14, 2025. I was ready to pay the required advance, but they refused to send either a payment link or bank account details so I could make the payment.

I was booked at Hotel Ayush International, then transferred to Hotel Prateek Residency Digha without being told in advance. The room and bathroom were filthy when I arrived, and several advertised amenities were missing or didn’t work. They also added undisclosed charges, pushing the total well above what I expected. When I complained, the staff didn’t help and I felt ignored. It was a very disappointing stay, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable visit to Digha.

The restaurant food was poor and overpriced, and the AC in our room never worked properly. We were charged 1,350 rupees per night for two adults, 2,700 rupees for our stay. The place looked shabby outside, and the rooms inside weren’t very high-end. Staff were unfriendly, and the manager stared at my girlfriend in a way that made me worry about women’s safety there. You can’t know what might happen if you leave your girlfriend or wife alone in the hotel. There was a restaurant in the hotel, but the food quality and prices were bad. A horrible experience. I suggest not going there.
