The bathroom was dirty, and the old, worn cutlery wasn’t any better. My sabji came in a plastic bowl covered in stains. For 1700, I’d booked a very small room. There was a TV but no set-top box or cable connected, and the promised electric kettle wasn’t there. The listing also mentioned a bathtub, but that was missing too. I guess I got scammed...

There’s some road noise, though the mattress and pillow were comfortable. The hotel was friendly, with English-speaking staff, and they provided a kettle. Breakfast can be brought to the room.

They provide an immersion rod for hot water, and the toilet is an Indian squat toilet. The room may not be great, but the people are very nice, and I think that’s what ultimately matters.
