Dolphin Hotel

We had fully paid for a confirmed online booking for me, my wife and our 5-year-old child, but at check-in the staff seemed confused and couldn’t give us the room. We were extremely upset to learn it had been given to another guest because they had more people and could pay more. Travelling with a young child, the situation was embarrassing and exhausting. When we called the owner, there was no real attempt to sort it out then and there. We were told to cancel and promised a later refund. With nowhere to stay and a tired child, we had to leave and look for another hotel. The refund came a week later, with ₹100 deducted and no clear explanation, even though the mistake was entirely theirs. The whole thing caused needless stress and ruined what should have been a simple family stay. Confirmed bookings weren’t honored, and basic responsibility toward guests was lacking. Families especially should be cautious, as this can cause serious inconvenience and distress.

The rest was okay, but the bedspread and pillow covers need replacing. Some small improvements in hospitality and a few other details could make the hotel better.

The room was in terrible condition. It was dirty, the bedspreads were dirty, and the pillows smelled foul. Everything felt wet and sticky. Not worth staying for free, so don’t waste your money.

Decent hotel rooms for a low budget, though the outdoor areas were unclean.
