The balcony looked straight onto the cricket ground, and waking up to that view felt like a dream. As a cricket fan, it was an unmatched experience, especially during match days. I recommend booking when matches are on to enjoy the atmosphere. I stayed here with my wife, and it was unforgettable. The property felt luxurious, with elegant interiors and a premium atmosphere, and it was well maintained. Up to four people can stay comfortably in one room. It has two built-in foldable beds hidden in the cupboard that can be opened when needed and tucked away afterward. I've mostly seen that idea in hotels abroad, so it was wonderful to find it here. The food was fresh and delicious, with a good range of options. Staff were very polite, warm, and ready to help. Ajith and Melvin gave us especially thoughtful, personal care and made the stay even more comfortable and memorable. Thanks to Dr. Muralidhran for this initiative, bringing together luxury, innovation, and a distinctive view of the cricket ground. A great choice for cricket lovers, couples, families, or anyone after a unique and memorable stay.

The huge rooster and beautiful Vinayagar sculpture give the place a lovely welcome, and there’s a big Buddha inside the perimeter wall that I could sit beside and meditate for ages. The owners have clearly chosen and arranged everything with an artistic eye. The hotel has a sports and arts theme, and every room faces the cricket ground. There’s a net practice area and a cricket field, plus a restaurant and cafe on site and another very good restaurant nearby. The rooms are much bigger than you’d expect from a hotel in this category anywhere in India. I’d always felt Dindigul district headquarters deserved better hotels, and this one has fulfilled that wish. I love it.

The view from the room was the loveliest part: a wall of glass looking out onto a lush green cricket field. Rooms are neat and spacious, and check-in was easy. The staff were courteous and always ready to help. Food from the restaurant was tasty, and the upper deck has a premium view of the ground. There’s also a play area for small children. Entry costs 50 rupees, but it’s worth it if you have little ones. The only thing I’d improve is the complimentary buffet breakfast, which has few options. The staff’s helpful attitude made up for that. A great place to stay, five stars from me.

At 9 pm, after driving all the way from Bengaluru with my family, luggage, and no local contacts, we arrived tired and hungry to find that Hotel City Square would not give us the twin double room we had booked in advance through Agoda for 4000 rupees. As a woman traveling with family in a completely unfamiliar place, it was scary. We had the booking receipt, confirmation ID, and email. Agoda customer care confirmed the booking and payment had gone through. They tried repeatedly to reach the owner, who did not answer, then called reception. The older man there said they had no rooms and knew nothing about online bookings. The hotel simply said everything was sold out, showed little concern, and gave no apology or solution. It was a horrible, careless, unprofessional experience. We travel regularly and had never run into this before. Agoda apologized and said it would take action against Hotel City Square Dindigul Tamil Nadu. We had to look for another place, and only found somewhere between 11 pm and midnight. Agoda still owes us the 4000 rupee refund for the one night at Hotel City Square Dindigul. They said they were surprised the property had refused a room despite a prepaid online booking. This was extremely stressful. Don’t book online with this property, especially if you’re traveling with family, women, or children. The hotel staff don’t seem to understand online booking procedures and were completely irresponsible.

The property itself is beautiful, with a full cricket ground, a big swimming pool, and a ground-facing restaurant. The food was tasty and reasonably priced, and service from the polite, helpful staff was excellent. We stayed one night as a family in a Suite Room after traveling from Kodaikanal and stopping in Dindigul to try the famous biriyani. The room was incredibly spacious, with a separate day room, a comfortable bedroom, and two washrooms. The cricket ground view was amazing. Our kids loved the stay, and honestly, we enjoyed it even more than our time in Kodaikanal. We really appreciate the doctor who owns this wonderful property. We’ll travel from Kerala again just to stay here. Highly recommended for families.
