Hotel CORNER STONE

I booked through Agoda, but when I got there they refused to check me in, saying all the rooms were full and they hadn’t received any confirmation from Agoda. It was 9 pm on a weekend, so finding another room at the last minute was difficult. This is completely unacceptable.

My family really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were friendly and supportive, the room was clean, and the food served was hygienic. It was a pleasant experience, and we’ll come back.

The family who runs the place lives right next to the building, which made it feel secure, and their warm, friendly service was a big part of why I loved staying here. The rooms were clean, with hot water and wifi. Restaurants are a bit far, so I had to order food. Make sure to get the correct address from the owners, because the one online is wrong and delivery can take longer than expected. Parking is a little tight but manageable. Don’t miss the morning view from upstairs. I’d definitely recommend it.

Just 30 minutes before we reached the fab hotel corner stone in Kodaikanal, fab express called to say the hotel was full and they would move our booking to somewhere else, which was not what I had paid for. I’d booked in April for our upcoming vacation, and after repeated calls asking for an advance, I paid nearly 1700 rupees. I was still getting messages and calls for the full amount until customer service stopped them. They told me the advance would be refunded, but I still haven’t received it. I was traveling with my one year old and other family members. We waited five to six hours, couldn’t get a room, and were starving by noon. We also couldn’t get through properly to customer care. A total disappointment.
