Hotel Divine Fort

The Manager was accommodating and let us check out late, and there’s a room for your driver too. This is a newly opened hotel very close to the Palani Murugan temple. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and extremely clean, with great water pressure and a heater throughout the stay. If you’re visiting the temple, book here. The buggy service can pick you up and drop you off at the hotel lobby, so you don’t have to walk far to reach the temple.

They went out of their way to help us, including letting us use the room to change after we came back late from the temple, well past checkout. We had two complimentary breakfasts and offered to pay for our driver to join us, but when the breakfast area manager saw my wife hadn’t eaten, he waived the driver’s charge without being asked. Those gestures were above and beyond. The hotel surpassed my expectations from a late night check-in through checkout. Rooms were super clean and breakfast was good, served with personal care. Being so near the temple made things easy, and it’s close to the rope car. You can walk out and get a free ride to the temple entrance if you want to climb the stairs. I really appreciate their effort and recommend the hotel without hesitation.

Ms. Deepika deserves special thanks for the care and attention she gave me and my family throughout our stay. One small suggestion: please play some music at reception, as it was very quiet. The location makes temple visits easy, since the hotel is close to the temple operated rope car. Rooms were exceptionally neat and clean, the front desk staff were courteous and helpful, parking was ample, and the dining area was well kept with good food. I appreciated that the management took my reservation over the phone without asking for an advance. It’s a very good, comfortable hotel, despite what some misleading reviews say. My only concern was breakfast. At peak occupancy, guests may have to wait in a queue, so I hope the hotel improves that for a smoother experience.

The rooms were neat and the restaurant was quite okay, and the reservation staff were helpful. I chose the hotel for its facilities and its proximity to the rope car at Palani, hoping to make things comfortable for my aged parents. Two things need attention: an anti-skid mat outside the bathroom, and reliable hot water. In a temple city, guests are expected to get up early, but despite several calls to the service desk, all we were told was that they were working on the hot water. It’s a good place to stay in Palani and could be a great one if it listened more to customer feedback.
