The staff were friendly, helpful, and easy to deal with, and we really enjoyed the tasty, high-quality food. Magizham Stay was also very clean and in an excellent location. Our group had a lovely stay in Kodaikanal, and we’d recommend it for a comfortable visit.

Getting to the property was difficult: it’s remote, about 6 km from the lake, and the price they quoted to take us there was extravagant. The room looked spacious in the pictures, but was actually tiny, with damp walls and bouncy floors. We were told it was near the lake, which wasn’t the case. There were no food choices, so we had to accept what they offered, and the customer service was poor. The place was way overhyped, and I was very disappointed.

The lawn is kept nicely, and although the place is a bit isolated from the main area, we didn’t feel a need to go out. The food and hospitality were that good. The onion dosa and panner butter masala are still on my mind. The in-house staff were generous, and the food was amazing, home-style cooking. For the best deals, contact the manager directly instead of booking online. One suggestion: provide kettles in the rooms, since Kodaikanal is cold and ordering hot water each time gets old. I’d absolutely recommend staying here with family.

I left about 7000 worth of gold and money in the room and only noticed after I got home. I called to explain, and the staff checked right away and found everything. That made this feel like a very trustworthy place to stay with family or friends. The food was good, the staff were very good, and the accommodation was decent. I’d suggest booking here for a safe stay.
