Hotel Aashirwad

The room walls were filthy, and the bathroom had neither a working flush nor a light. I asked the receptionist for a towel and other items, but he brushed me off. I called several times the next morning during working hours and got no answer. For 800 rupees, you can find a better hotel with much better service. Don’t waste your money here.

Common problems include dirty rooms, dust, pests, and poor cleanliness, along with rude or unprofessional staff and incorrect bills. Room facilities may be faulty, such as TVs that don’t work or no hot water. Food can be poor, service delayed, and advertised amenities unavailable.

The room, service, and location were good, so I’d give those three stars. My overall rating is one star because of the OYO rates. The price shown on the app seemed like a dummy rate, and the hotel refused to give me the room for that amount. Staff told me OYO keeps the app price too low but lets the hotel charge more when guests arrive. I had to pay 200 rupees extra outside the app. They asked me to cancel the booking and take the room directly, and didn’t mind if I complained to OYO care. This was my first experience with OYO, and a bad one.

The caretaker was very rude when asked to do their job. There was no restaurant or room service, the linens were dirty, and no toiletries were provided. The hotel is in a residential area, but outside noise came through so clearly it felt like the room was on the road. The rooms all seemed to have the same condition, refurbished to look like hotel rooms even though they were basically hostel rooms with a kitchen counter and taps. Please look at the photos.
