The rooms were spacious, clean, and each had a balcony. The location was handy for Kodai town and the lake, online rates were cheap, and the complimentary breakfast was delicious. But the service from the person in charge was a serious letdown. We were four people with two rooms booked. When we arrived, he was cleaning and said it would take 5-10 minutes. He let us look around, we liked the rooms and paid, then he said they were ready. He hadn't finished cleaning, and I still don't know whether the sheets and blankets had been changed. Later we asked for four glasses and four plates so we could eat. He brought a mismatched set of two plastic glasses, a fiber plate, and two steel plates, saying there were no more. One glass was dirty. When I showed him, he tried to wipe it with his finger before taking it away to wash. We asked again for more glasses, but he refused, then after our third request brought two disposable ones and said that was all they had. At night, people kept knocking on our door for a long time. They stopped when we called out that the room was occupied and we were inside.

We arrived on bikes after a tiring ride in 13°C weather, and the owner of HEXA MOON HEIGHTS refused to let us check in at the discounted OYO rate we had booked and paid an advance to confirm. He said we had to pay the hotel's usual price. I ended up standing outside in the freezing cold, waiting and talking with an OYO customer executive while they tried to sort it out. It was a pathetic experience. We had no choice but to pay more and check in. The advertised amenities were mostly nonsense. There was no Wi-Fi, the TV had no channels, breakfast cost extra, parking was a joke, and there were no OYO toiletries. Card payment wasn't available despite being advertised, so we used UPI. The network was poor too. They said the Wi-Fi had been broken for two days, what a coincidence. The rooms weren't soundproof either, and I woke at 4:30 am to people chatting and laughing, whether owners or other guests. If you want to ruin your holiday, lose money, and deal with such illiterate fools while losing sleep, go ahead and book. A highly frustrated guest.

We had a lovely, relaxing stay. The rooms were kept neat and the service was good. The home-style food tasted excellent, and we were lucky enough to see a herd of bison just 10 feet from the cottage.

The staff at Moon Heights were kind and friendly, and I honestly had a good stay. The room rate was reasonable for the value. They serve food three times a day for an extra charge, and it was good and worth what they charged. This is just my honest experience, not a paid review.

The atmosphere is nice and the rooms are okay, but the food service didn't work for us. We couldn't get the food we wanted. It's also far from town, so I wouldn't really recommend it if you don't have your own vehicle.
