SKR Sivabhagya Adventure Suites

These are my first impressions while I’m still at the resort. It’s a beautiful property with lots of space, ample parking, good dining, nice views, and activities to keep you occupied. The service is good and it’s a nice place to spend time. It is far from the city, which some people may like depending on their preference.

The east-facing room gave me a beautiful sunrise above the clouds at 5:30 am, and that made my day. The room was okayish, but the service was so poor that I left soon after. I wouldn’t come back. I thought there was a pool, but there wasn’t, and Sterlings website is really confusing. The resort had almost no amenities: no pool, gym, worthwhile activity room, or space for a peaceful walk. The food was average. I found service disappointing too. I asked staff to remove an item from my room, and they confirmed but never came. I had to call twice for extra lotions and slippers. The bathroom toilet seat was broken. Water pressure was extremely low at night, then very strong in the morning, and got my clothes wet. I was locked out of my room and asked a worker to get someone with the master key. After waiting 10 minutes, I walked about five minutes to reception, only to learn someone had supposedly been sent five minutes earlier. I went back to the door and waited another 10 minutes with no one arriving. I had to ask a neighboring guest to call reception, and got the same reply that someone had been sent five minutes ago. It was already 8 pm and getting very cold. That says a lot about the service.

The resort’s green, peaceful surroundings were well kept and made it easy to relax. My room was clean and comfortable, with a great nature view. The staff were courteous and helpful, the food was tasty with good variety, and the facilities were well organized. I had a pleasant stay at Sterling Kodai Valley Resort. It’s a comfortable spot for a peaceful getaway, and I’d recommend it to families and couples looking to unwind.

The buffet was very good, and the rooms were good and easy to access. Getting here by four-wheeler is straightforward. The views are just okay, so don’t expect anything spectacular. Mist sometimes drifts by the rooms, and bisons may come near your room, though they don’t enter the compound. The views were the only downside.
