The Unico Resorts

There was plenty of parking, and the staff were polite, attentive, and easy to deal with. Our room was spotless, with strong Wi-Fi, fast internet, and hot water from both the mixer tap and shower. Towels, blankets, toiletries, and other essentials were provided. I spent four days at The Unico Resorts, Kodaikanal with my Moroccan friend, and the affordable rates felt well worth it. We had an amazing stay, and I’d happily recommend it to anyone visiting Kodaikanal.

The food was made to order, tasted very good, and felt homemade. The manager and staff were helpful throughout our two-day getaway. We enjoyed the scenic view from our room, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The property sits in a pretty area about 6 km from the main town, away from the crowds. There was a kettle in the room and a geyser for hot water at any time. It was a comfortable, memorable stay, and I’d come back.

The staff were down to earth and very polite, and they provided everything we asked for. Mr. Ram was the one cook for everyone, and the food he made tasted so good. We spent three nights and two days here and had a peaceful, wonderful stay. Kudos to the management.

Parking is inside the compound. Of the roughly eight rooms, four have valley-facing balconies, while the other four have no window and cost less. There are two-bed and four-bed layouts. We enjoyed the food at breakfast and dinner, but since one person does all the cooking, it’s best to order at least 90 minutes ahead. The two young men handling things were humble, polite, and provided fantastic service, though that also meant a few lapses. We asked for tea the night before at 7 am, but it never arrived and they forgot about it. Toiletries weren’t provided, and the campfire costs extra.
