We stayed for a day in May 2026, and the place had a warm, homestay-like feel. The spacious rooms had balconies, there was plenty of parking, and the property is conveniently near the middle of town. WiFi was available but didn’t work properly inside our room. Airtel network connectivity was available there too. The food was good, though the menu had very limited options, and service took quite a while even though we’d ordered in advance. There were also so many vehicles parked on the premises that it felt a bit congested at times. Still, it was a nice, decent stay in Dirang.

The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, and the hotel had all the essential amenities. It’s right in the city centre, which makes it convenient for a transit stop or a night’s stay. A simple but comfortable place.

Our room was on the 3rd floor, so we had to climb 3 flights of stairs. There’s no elevator. We checked out early, at 5 am, before the staff woke up at 6, and had to carry our bags down ourselves. The rooms are okay for the price, very basic. The hotel is right in town near the river, rather than on the mountainsides where most hotels with beautiful views are located.

Ms Maya was so thoughtful. We arrived after 4.30 pm and she still cooked us a hot, tasty lunch, then accompanied us to our room. The next day she made breakfast to suit our preference. The stay at Hotel Mudita was very comfortable, with clean, neat rooms, fresh air, free WiFi, and helpful staff.

A large group of people came straight into our room without knocking and demanded to use our bathroom. Management didn’t step in or take it seriously. The hotel showed no sense of security, and I wouldn’t recommend it for a safe, peaceful stay. Not suitable for families.
