Hotel Diamond

The waiter's service was poor, and the portions were very small for what they charged. We visited the hotel's restaurant and wouldn't recommend it.

For a budget stay, this place has very good facilities. The room quality was very good, and the staff were good as well.

The location wasn't good, and the price felt very high for the service. The AC didn't work, there was no water in the washroom, and no towels were provided. A totally awful experience.

The meals were the best part of our stay. Dinner and breakfast were freshly made and delicious, and hearing the pots and spoons clink in the kitchen gave it a comforting, home-cooked feel. There was real care in the food, and it made the stay memorable. We spent one night at Hotel Diamond in Diu with my family. The staff were friendly and helped us feel comfortable, and the room was clean, cozy, and well maintained. The room rate was quite high, probably because it was vacation season and a busy weekend. The extra bed was a small sofa, too short for my six-foot-tall son to sleep comfortably. With the high price, we expected a proper extra bed, so that was disappointing. The hotel also supplies untreated seawater to the bathroom, which was very salty and hard. Smoking is allowed in the rooms, which can be uncomfortable for families with women and children. Our room smelled of smoke, and air freshener didn't do much to cover it. People in the neighboring room were smoking too, and the smell drifted into the nearby passage.
