The market is right nearby, with plenty of food places and sights you can reach on foot, including Diu Fort, St. Paul’s Church, and INS Khukri Memorial. I stayed two nights at Hotel Laabh, and for a budget trip the location and price worked well. The rooms are cozy and comfortable, though not large, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I’d suggest it for solo travelers or families who want a simple base near the main spots in Diu. A few drawbacks: there’s no car parking, though two-wheelers can be left out front, and meals aren’t provided, so you’ll need to eat elsewhere. Mobile reception was weak inside, but the TV had almost all channels. Water was dripping from the AC in my room, so that needs maintenance. It’s not a luxury stay, but it was good for the price.

I paid 5000 for a tiny room and checked out less than two hours later. It was filthy, the service was poor, and the whole place was disgusting. I’d booked in a hurry because of the festival crowds. Wouldn’t recommend it.

The rooms were much too small and not clean, and the staff’s behavior wasn’t good either. I didn’t enjoy the stay at all. A complete waste of money, please don’t stay here 😞

The bathroom didn’t even have a working lock, and they hadn’t provided soap or towels. The sheets and pillows smelled bad, as did the small rooms, with an unpleasant odor coming from the walls. Staff were rude. I chose this place after seeing a few positive reviews and regretted it afterward. Don’t book it.

The location is right by the sea, and INS Khukri museum is about a ten-minute walk away. But the room wasn’t very clean, with cockroaches crawling around, even on the beds. The shower also didn’t work properly. If there’s a better hotel at the same price, choose that instead.
