The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was good. Still, our one-night stay at Kamnath Resort by Fern had a few comfort problems. The room AC didn't work properly during a very hot day, and the water tasted salty. The cottages have fabric walls, so conversations from next door carry clearly and there's little privacy. Food tasted okay, but the portions were small for the price. On-site amenities are limited, and the ones at their other resort are a bit far to walk to. If the AC, water, and privacy issues were fixed, this could be a 4-star property. I'd consider returning if they improve those things.

Breakfast was a bad surprise: I found a mosquito in the kheer, and it seemed the food may have been prepared the day before. The tent room also became extremely hot, and its AC couldn't cool it properly because of the heat and tent material. There was no proper parking, and the place felt unsafe. I booked a queen bed, but they gave us two single beds pushed together and called it a queen. Staff admitted they hadn't properly checked the booking and responded carelessly to my complaint. They seem irresponsible about bookings and customer service, and proper standards aren't maintained. I personally wouldn't suggest visiting Kamnath Zinc – The Fern Resort in Diu. Be careful before booking. Given 0 🌟 for my experience.

The view and location were very good, but the stay itself wasn't satisfactory. At check-in they demanded full payment in advance, something we haven't encountered at the many 5-star hotels we've stayed at. Another room got complimentary chocolates, but ours didn't, which was disappointing. We kept asking for coffee mugs and water glasses, but none were brought. We were travelling with our 3-year-old and really needed those basics. The bathroom had an old, used towel apparently left by the previous guest, and there was a lot of dust under the bed. The AC didn't work properly, and there wasn't even a basic fan in the tent. At checkout, staff indirectly suggested we'd hidden or taken a glass from the room. That was insulting and extremely unprofessional. The hospitality didn't meet our expectations, and it wasn't a pleasant stay.

The food was fresh and had a nice variety, and the atmosphere at the Fern felt relaxed and welcoming. Hina Pradeep Paresh were especially warm and attentive, making sure everything was taken care of smoothly. We had a really pleasant stay. It felt like one of Diu's best family-friendly, sea-facing resorts, with great staff and excellent service throughout. Would highly recommend.”
