In City Centre, the hotel is about 1 km from the bus stand and 6 kms from Durgapur Railway Station. Rates run from 2250 to 5000, with checkout at 12 Noon. My room and bathroom were neat and clean, and there’s a geyser. Room service is available until 2200 hrs. They offer complimentary morning tea and water, and there’s a restaurant on the ground floor. The staff were polite and well behaved.

The food was terrible, but it was the staff’s rude, arrogant, completely unprofessional attitude that made the visit unbearable. They treated customers like a burden, with no manners, respect, or accountability. This was the worst restaurant experience I’ve had. Save your money and self-respect, and don’t go here. It deserves zero stars.

At Banerjee Restaurant’s upper restaurant section, I was disappointed by the food, particularly alongside drinks. The chicken didn’t seem fresh, and the fish fingers didn’t appear to be made with vetki as expected. They didn’t seem to use basa either. The food quality was very poor overall.

We appreciated that management tried to make up for the meal by preparing the chicken again and offering complimentary hot gulab jamuns, but the problems at the start still overshadowed everything. The food was too salty and over-seasoned, the chicken wasn’t fully cooked, and service took a long time. It made for an unpleasant visit. During Durga Puja hours, the heavy rush seems to leave service very slow and disorganized, so I’d strongly advise avoiding the restaurant then. Food quality and service efficiency both need significant improvement.
