There aren’t any restaurants nearby, so it would help if the hotel had one. It’s also quite far from the railway station. To catch a bus, you walk about 2 minutes and then wait another 10 or 15 minutes for one. The building is huge, with lots of rooms. Our room was fine, but it could use some maintenance: the TV didn’t work and the tap leaked.
The outside of the hotel looks good, but the rooms are very old, dirty, and have many broken parts. There’s no food available, not even a cup of tea. When booking through oyo, you may end up with a very unclear room, and they don’t provide a queen-size bed. Booking directly can get you a better room, full accommodation, and a queen-size bed.
The reception was really bad when we checked in, though the staff did provide everything we asked for. The rooms were good and had all the functions except hot water. It’s quite a nice place to stay in Faridpur, Durgapur, and it was a nice hotel overall. You can also book it for a wedding or reception.
I travel every day and usually choose Oyo, but I don’t like this hotel. The room wasn’t clean, and the TV system is very low. There’s no wifi like at other Oyo hotels.
The receptionist was rude and arrogant, and spoke as if he didn’t want to give us a room, even though it wasn’t free. He said local people raid the hotel at night to check whether unmarried couples are sharing rooms, and that police often visit and search rooms for no reason. We got frightened and cancelled the booking. Getting a refund took a lot of calls. A very unpleasant experience.
