Park Prime Hotel Durgapur

The room was poorly maintained, with old window AC units, and the condition didn’t justify what I paid. I was charged ₹2200 for a day stay from midday to evening. I asked several times at check-in why it cost that much, but got no proper explanation or alternative. Only at evening checkout did they tell me the price would have been ₹1500 if I’d booked using their company QR code. That information should have been shared up front. Based on my experience, it was a complete waste of money. Check all the options before booking directly. Very disappointing service.

The location was superb, and I found the room comfortable with perfect service. I stayed at Hotel Park Prime, Durgapur last weekend on a solo trip to take part in the JBG Durgapur Marathon 2026. It was a pleasant, hassle-free stay. Highly recommended.

The location is prime, but everything else was poor. Rooms booked online at a discount get the worst rooms, in my experience. The amenities are sparse, the furniture is very old, and there’s no phone connecting you to reception or housekeeping. WiFi was poor too, and they don’t even know about toilet slippers. Pathetic service.

I’m writing because nobody has replied to my email or text messages about reservation 20559, under Dipika Biswas, checking in 27.02.26 and checking out 28.02.26. My family stays here fairly often because it’s convenient and close to my daughter’s boarding campus. We were very impressed with the service on our first two visits, so we kept coming back, until this last stay. I booked double occupancy with the MAP meal plan for 2100 INR net, through a hotel staff member, I believe the revenue manager, who had made my earlier reservations too. When my family arrived on 27 February, they were charged 2750 INR because the booking was said to be for single occupancy. They weren’t allowed to check in unless they paid. They were also charged for one extra meal, and the staff were very rude. I contacted the person who made the reservation, who admitted there had been a miscommunication and promised to repay all the extra charges. There’s still been no reply. If the reservation details were genuinely entered incorrectly, I understand, but I need an explanation. I’ve worked in the hotel industry too, and this isn’t the service I expect. Thanks.
