The management and staff behaved in a very cheap, unpleasant way. I also found that the hotel management was comfortable giving couples rooms for 3-4 hours while charging for a full day, without complimentary food or services. This was the worst hotel experience I've had. I wouldn't stay here at any cost.
At check-in at Hotel Ritz, Durgapur, the lady manager at the front desk quoted me an extremely high rate, despite the average fare shown on Google. This was on 17 May, 2025. When I asked about the difference, I was left waiting for over 30 minutes without a clear explanation or resolution. The way it was handled felt unprofessional for a reputed hotel. The lack of pricing clarity and poor service at reception made a bad first impression. I hope management improves both.
The rooms are really poor quality and the service was poor too. They take the full payment at check-in, but I still had to wait until after 9 am for the bill.
They have world class facilities at a cheap, reasonable price, making this one of the best hotels in Durgapur. The lift wasn't working, but they had other alternatives ready. I'd recommend a visit.
The ambience is excellent, and they have all the facilities, from a lift to 24*7 power backup. The food is amazing, especially the Bengali cuisine. Best hotel in Durgapur.
