The best thing about the hotel is where it sits. MG Road Metro Station, Marine Drive, the railway station, and the boat jetty are all close by, with plenty of shops and restaurants around too. That made it convenient for exploring the city with my family last month. The staff were polite and cooperative, though our air conditioner wasn’t working properly and caused some inconvenience. Cleanliness was average and could be better. Standard rooms have no windows, which might be manageable for one night but felt like it could get suffocating on a longer stay. Our experience was average and seemed reasonable only because I got a discounted online rate. At the regular price, I don’t think it’s good value, and there may be better nearby options. It could suit a short stay if you find a good deal and want a central location.

There’s a restaurant on the building’s top floor, and they played loud music until 1 am. I think it was karaoke, and the singing was really bad. I couldn’t sleep and had an awful night. The room itself was big and spacious, with lots of restaurants and a Metro station nearby. I stayed the night of 30 Dec.

Late-night noise from a nearby club badly disrupted our stay, and the hotel didn’t take proper action even though we reported it several times. At midnight, the receptionist was extremely rude and told us to call the police ourselves if the noise was a problem. A very disappointing stay, I wouldn’t recommend it.

There’s no breakfast at the hotel, but several food outlets are right outside, and there’s a nice rooftop cafe one floor up. That cafe can also be noisy for rooms below. The rooms are large but dated, and soundproofing is poor. For shopping and easy transport around the city, the location is handy: Kochi Metro’s MG Road Station is practically at the doorstep, so you can connect to the rail network easily.

We came here for the first time and weren’t familiar with the rules. Nobody had told us the checkout time in advance, but then they asked us to pay extra. We asked why they hadn’t called to let us know, and they said they didn’t have our mobile number. It was a really bad experience.
