My train was delayed, so I got to the hotel around 3 a.m. after booking through OYO. At reception, they told me they didn't have the classic room I'd booked and offered a deluxe room only if I paid 1200 extra. I called OYO customer care, explained the issue, and was told it would be sent to the concerned department. They put me on hold for 45 minutes, then the call disconnected. I called again, waited about 30 minutes, and gave up. By then it was 4:30 a.m. I'd spent about two hours by the roadside and went back to the railway station. After 11 a.m. I contacted OYO again about a refund. They agreed to provide one, though I still don't know if I'll get it. OYO says bookings are 100% controlled by them, but the hotel is actually in the owners' hands. What a ridiculous way to deny a booking. Worst experience ever. Don't trust OYO or stay at this property.
