2/10
The room and toilet were dirty, and there was a bad smell, especially urine from the toilet. The stained bedsheets looked like they hadn't been cleaned, and the hygiene was awful. The room only had a kettle; when we called for service, nobody picked up, and the staff response was very poor. I chose this hotel after reading the Google reviews, but they were misleading. Cleanliness, hygiene, and service were all below average. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Please avoid.

We had a comfortable stay in the AC family room, with two double beds and enough room for our luggage. The rooms were neat and clean, the staff were cooperative, and lift service was available. It was satisfying and good value for money at South Gate Residency.

Our double non-AC room was clean and budget friendly, and the hotel is near Ernakulam South railway station. Checkout at 11 am was the only bummer; I would've preferred a 24-hour checkout. They did let us relax in the lobby and use the restroom for a few more hours without charging extra. The stay felt safe and comfortable, and I'd recommend it.

The manager was kind and helpful, and the hotel itself was good. My room was really nice for one person. Ernakulam South Metro station is only 200 metres away. If you're coming to Kochi, you can book here online.

A really convenient spot for train travelers, and good value for money. The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff were friendly and gave excellent service. I'd definitely stay here again.
