Hotel Viceroy by OYO Rooms

The location is bad, with no hotels nearby, despite some people calling it beautiful. The room itself was a mess: the bedsheet and blankets were spoiled, the toilet was too small, and the flush didn’t work properly. I booked through the OYO app after seeing a 4.3 rating. I posted a poor review there, but it never appeared. There’s a beverage shop next door, and the hotel lets people bring drinks into the room. They don’t provide food, though the app let us add breakfast. It never arrived, so I had to contact OYO and get the breakfast charge refunded. They don’t answer the phone even after multiple calls. The receptionist was busy playing PUBG and didn’t even have time to show us the room. Can I give this hotel a minus rating? Don’t think of booking it with family. OYO has degraded its service to make money.

I was really disappointed with this stay and don’t want to book there again. At check-in, the receptionist said they had no booking for me and wanted extra money, even though I showed my confirmed reservation and they wouldn’t listen. An hour later they gave me a pathetic, substandard room. I accepted because I had a business meeting and little time. I have all the pictures if needed. I’m a hotelier and know the COVID-19 protocols. They were just bluffing about COVID-19 to avoid providing things.

I only spent one night there and was fed up. The floor was wet with water everywhere, including the washroom. When I asked for service, they said that because it was an OYO flagship hotel I had to contact the company. Many amenities listed in the OYO app weren’t available; when I asked, they said OYO just writes things it doesn’t provide to get bookings. Very bad experience.

There was dust settled everywhere, and the room was filthy. The bedsheets had stains, and the front desk was completely unresponsive.
