The Senate Hotel

I usually avoid leaving bad reviews, but this stay was poor despite the hotel's Google rating being over 4 stars. The bathroom smelled so strongly that the odor filled the room even with its door shut. There were little bugs throughout the bathroom, and the toilet flush didn't work properly. The free Wi-Fi wouldn't connect either. I told a young man at reception, but nothing changed. I'd seen earlier reviews mentioning these problems and assumed they'd been fixed. Since they were still there, I didn't see a point in raising them again with staff. The hotel management had already had these issues reported and still hadn't corrected them.

For 1.5 k, the rooms were a good deal: clean, quiet, and nicely kept. The caretaker was polite, and there's indoor parking too. There isn't food on site, so you'll need to order through Swiggy or Zomato. The Wi-Fi was unreliable, and when we asked for help, the caretaker brushed us off. That cost them a star.

The staff were courteous, and you can walk from this budget friendly hotel to the Metro station. It has neat AC rooms and complimentary breakfast.

I checked in on 11/1/26 and had a horrible experience. The room smelled bad, there was no intercom or kettle, and the bathroom had no toilet paper. I called reception and they gave me a service number. They later sent up a kettle, sugar, and tea pouch, but when I asked for milk powder they said they don't provide milk. It was a very bad stay. Six years ago, this place was very good.
