Hotel Rajmandir

The breakfast menu had hardly anything available. I waited 20 minutes for my first choice, then staff told me it wasn't available; most other dishes weren't available either, except for 2-3 items. There was no proper ventilation in the room, which cost around ₹2000, and not a single window. It also had a strange smell. The doormats looked as if they hadn't been washed in years, and wiping your feet on one after leaving the bathroom made them dirtier. At reception there were two female staff members, one older and one younger. I don't know their names, but the younger woman was arrogant and acted oversmart. She spoke loudly and unprofessionally, avoided genuine questions, and chatted loudly about unnecessary things instead. That behavior is unacceptable in hospitality, and management should seriously reconsider keeping her on staff. The whole experience was poor and disappointing, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel. I also don't believe customers give this place 5-star ratings based on the actual experience. I think most of those ratings are posted by staff themselves.

The food and drinks are reasonably priced, and the service is good. There's a dance floor with music and lights, plus a separate area for cake cutting and celebrations. It's a nice spot for drinks and dinner. I'm not sure why the rating is low, maybe it's because of the hotel.

We held my son's birthday celebration here, and the party was spoiled by poor management, disappointing service, and bad food. Bookings have to go through their own event management team, which is inconvenient and unfriendly to customers. One guest found a rolled-up piece of cloth in their Manchurian dish. Staff later said it was the cover used for paneer, which felt extremely unprofessional and unhygienic, with the potential to cause serious health issues. When we complained, the manager immediately threw it in the dustbin instead of looking into it properly, and the staff argued instead of apologizing. We also expected bottled water, but they served water in glasses. They said bottled water wasn't included in our booking and couldn't be arranged then. They should have told us during booking, since we would have gladly paid extra. When you pay a good amount, you expect hygienic food, proper management, and good service, and none of that was provided. This place isn't worth the money or effort, and anyone planning a celebration should be prepared for disappointing service and poor management.

The location is good and the food is just okay. Cold drinks are served only if you ask for them; otherwise, they put water on the table.
