Inside, the ambience wasn't very appealing, though the outside of the hotel makes for good photos. The food didn't justify what they charge: I've had much better tasting meals for the same or less in Agra and even in Firozabad. Prices here are extremely high compared with other restaurants in Firozabad. Service also fell short. Only the person assigned to our table would attend to us, and they often vanished for a long time. Nobody else came over, even for water or napkins, so we were left waiting. In my opinion, there are better options. Even with family, I'd take a cab or drive to Agra for a better meal at the same price.

The rooms I saw beforehand weren't up to the mark, and the rate situation made the visit worse. Online prices were much lower than what the reception manager quoted. When I said I'd book online, he marked the hotel sold out on the system, apparently to stop me getting the lower rate, while sarcastically telling me to go ahead and book. I left, and soon after that the rooms showed as available online again. That struck me as unethical and highly unprofessional staff behavior. It was a very poor experience, and I wouldn't recommend Hotel Monark.

The location makes it easy to reach public transport and restaurants. The rooms were clean and had the basic amenities, and the staff were friendly.

We came for lunch and couldn't figure out the seating. Only one table had a reserved sign, but when we sat at another, they told us every seat was reserved. The seats they offered were near the stores and very dirty. When I raised the issue, the hotel manager argued in a very rough tone. This was the worst place I've visited. Please avoid this kind of hotel.

This is a photo of their most expensive room. The toilet wouldn't flush for two days, and despite repeated calls to housekeeping, nobody fixed it. The taps leaked, and there were bed bugs. My daughter was scared. This place isn't even a 0.0003-star hotel. I'd rather sleep on the street than here.
