There’s no privacy here, not even in the toilet. You can end up breathing in other people’s smoke while they smoke in their own space. Stay here if you want to feel cheated and have the worst experience of your life.

My room had an amazing view of the hillside. It was clean and well maintained, and the employees were hospitable and professional. The service was top notch. One of the best hotels I’ve seen so far in gantok.

Food service took four hours, and the woman at reception was shamelessly rude, enough to ruin your holiday mood. We’d paid in full through OYO but were denied check-in. When OYO stepped in, they moved us to another property far inside. The worst place to stay.

Sandip Da, the hotel owner, and the manager were friendly and very helpful. The service was outstanding, and the facilities were top quality. He arranged our tours to North Sikkim, Changu Lake and Baba MAndir at the cheapest rate, even in peak season.

The rooms were dirty and full of cockroaches, there was no water, and the food was awful. Service overall was poor, and they charged us ₹4500. It’s very far from the city center, so expect to pay 200 for a taxi from there. Calcutta tour operators booked this for us. I blame them first, since it seems they have an understanding with the hotel. Take some time, get to Gangtok, and book for yourself.
