The staff were so polite and helpful, always ready with a smile, and their hospitality made our stay comfortable. Hotel Kanchanview had cozy, clean rooms with breathtaking views, but the food was the highlight. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the Bengali Chicken Thali was a 10/10 for me. The rice, dal, and chicken curry had a lovely authentic taste. It's hard to find Bengali food that good in the hills. If you want clean, comfortable lodging, friendly professional staff, great views, and delicious Bengali food, especially the Chicken Thali, I'd recommend it to families and solo travelers.

The manager let another guest play loud music until 1:00 at night, and I couldn't sleep. The hotel is called Kanchan view, but all you get is a road view. My recent stay was the worst experience ever, and visiting was a bad decision. The room was dusty and unclean, so you couldn't even sit in the chair. The geyser, telephone, and TV weren't working. The pillowcase was dirty, and half the white towel was yellow, though they said it was clean. The food plate was so dirty I couldn't eat, even though I wanted to. Please don't visit this hotel. If you do, you'll regret it.

Please don't visit this hotel. The rooms are very small and in bad condition, and the service is poor. The bathrooms are disgusting, especially if you're staying alone, and the geyser doesn't provide enough hot water. Don't book by phone or online. We reserved a room two months in advance after seeing an amazing picture, but at check-in they gave us a different, terrible room and toilet. They'll show you one room and give you another. If you're smart, avoid it. In the end, it's your choice.
