We’ve just come back from Sikkim, where we stayed at Tara's homestay. It was such a cosy, lovely place, with very clean and comfortable rooms and all the amenities we needed. Mam Tara and her family were so welcoming and hospitable, and the food was good. The momos and thupka they served on our last night were especially delicious, easily the standout dish.
We spent about four days at this homestay during our Sikkim trip, and had a very good experience. The owner was hospitable and soft-spoken, and every dish we ate was delicious. Someone who had stayed here recommended it to us, and we’ll definitely recommend it to friends visiting Gangtok.
The food here is amazing, and the host is sweet and cooperative. It’s a beautiful, clean homestay that’s easy on the eyes. It’s a bit far from mg marg, so it’s a good fit if you want a peaceful romantic getaway or a place to spend time with friends. The living room is big and nicely decorated.

The place is in the heart of Sikkim’s capital, with breathtaking views and easy access to local attractions. Its peaceful atmosphere made a restful retreat after our daily exploring. We left feeling rejuvenated and are already planning another visit. If you want a heartfelt, immersive stay in Gangtok, this homestay is a gem. Highly recommend.
