Hotel Nxgen Nostalgia Near MG MARG

The staff really made this place feel homey, and both their service and the food were excellent. The management should update the Lennon’s and the other amenities, though. It was the people working there who made the stay good.

This is a budget hotel, so the rooms are just OK and there’s no lift. Don’t expect luxury. The towels looked dirty and worn out, and really need replacing. There’s no kettle or tea or coffee in the room either. Breakfast was tasty, but they served only one item and we had to wait for each roti to arrive. Service was very slow. We waited two hours for dinner, then went to the restaurant and found they hadn’t even started cooking. Luckily, there’s a Domino's pizza outlet nearby, so we ordered from there.

The staff were fantastic, and the rooms and amenities were very good. We stayed for two days and had a really pleasant time. The food was homely and delicious, too. Special thanks to Praveen, Micky and Rajesh for putting in extra effort to arrange the candlelight dinner. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Gangtok without hesitation.

The balcony rooms have a lovely view. We also really enjoyed the food, with different cuisines served on different days. Make sure to try their special Chinese platter, it was super good. The rooms and washrooms were clean and well kept, and the staff were welcoming and helpful the whole time. A really good stay, highly recommended!
