The hotel's out of the way, but the manager helped arrange cabs and made our travel convenient. The staff were very friendly, and the bathroom was good. I wanted to give it 4.5 stars, but that wasn't an option. I suggest visiting.

The other staff were polite and the hotel itself was good, but the manager was arrogant and didn't know how to speak to guests. The main door was shut after 10 pm. We're here to visit, so how are we supposed to go out at night if it's locked then? When asked to open it, the manager called it hotel SOP and said it would only be opened in the morning. He went on about staff needing rest and being tired. If you've paid for a room, you should be able to come and go whenever you need. This manager is why the hotel gets one star from me.

There were broken chairs and no soap in the bathroom, and nobody was available to attend to us. The food was awful, worse than street food. They take advantage of the fact that there aren't any restaurants nearby. There are no facilities here.

We stayed three days after arriving on January 8, 2018. The food was excellent and so was the welcome and hospitality, with the aloo paratha especially worth trying. Rooms were warm, cozy, well furnished, and the property was very nice. Staff were polite and courteous, with service available around the clock. A must visit in Gangtok.
