The location and the taste of the food that was prepared were the only saving graces, even though the breakfast choices were very limited. We paid Rs. 5500 per night, but it was worth no more than Rs. 2000 for a backpack hostel. I hope this review helps others avoid getting conned. The service was horrendous. I ordered masla tea at 7 am, reminded them at 7:45 am, and it never came. When I asked staff to collect dirty utensils in the evening, they said, “it's not my job,” and left them there. I asked for shower gel and got two hand soaps, with staff saying they could be used for bathing. After I insisted, they brought some bottles. The checkout was just as bad. When we called for help with our luggage, staff barged in and began checking the room while we were still inside and hadn't checked out. They locked the door while we were still at the room door, before checkout. There was little in the way of amenities: two old towels, no hand towels, shower gel, soap, shampoo, or cabinet, and a dirty heating jug. The extra bed was a mattress on the floor, and the heater cost extra. The room itself was like a dharamshala type room. If you're fine with that, you might be happy, otherwise it's no more than a 1-star hotel. I don't want to go into much more detail, just to avoid remembering the experience.

The mountain-view rooms, location, and pleasant ambiance made our overall stay good. Breakfast was nice on the first day, but the food quality and taste were very poor on the second. More guests came that morning, and the restaurant had limited staff, so they couldn't manage it properly. Dinner was disappointing too, with only a few menu items available.

The serene atmosphere made this a lovely place to recharge, and waking up near MG Marg to those amazing views was a real pleasure. The stay was genuinely enjoyable despite the problems, though the logistics didn't quite match the scenery. I felt torn because the vibe was perfect, but basic hygiene fell short. Finding a dirty water bottle and torn sheets was definitely a mood killer when I was trying to unplug.

The room we got didn't match the photos on MakeMyTrip. When we pointed that out, the staff said the pictures online weren't real. We also had to ask for the stained bedsheets to be changed. In the morning, the restaurant phone stayed busy, so we couldn't reach them; reception said they'd check and call back, but we never heard anything. Bad room and service. I wouldn't recommend it.

The breakfast was very good, and the room and sheets were clean. We also had a great view, with MG Marg and West Point Mall close by, and the price was good. Service was decent too. I did report one concern: while cleaning, someone took some alcohol that we'd left on the table. I didn't make a fuss, but apart from that, this was the best stay.
