The Griffon's Nest

We visited in October and loved the view and the well-groomed rooms. The hotel is a long way from Gangtok main town, but the service was very good. Our package included lodging, dinner, and breakfast, and the food was delicious. The chef did a great job, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We left a piece of luggage behind when returning from Gangtok, and after we called, they arranged a car to bring it back to us. The view, food, and whole experience were amazing.

The team at Griffin's Nest in Sikkim made the stay feel warm and welcoming. Palden deserves a special mention as a great host who made sure guests were comfortable and happy. His hospitality made the trip memorable, and the staff were incredibly helpful. I’d highly recommend staying here for the service.

It’s nearly 3 km from the main Market town, though local taxis are readily available. I could make peace with the distance for the hotel view. The ambiance is very good, and the staff are polite, helpful, and always ready to assist. If you want to get away from the city bustle and have a restful few days, this place works well.

We arrived with a confirmed Cleartrip booking, but the hotel refused to honor it, saying they had accepted offline bookings instead. There were six of us and we were left without rooms, help, or another option from the hotel. Cleartrip said the mistake was the hotel’s. A deeply unprofessional experience that showed little respect for guests. Don’t trust this hotel with your time or money.
