The evening light show and the dino trail were both worth seeing, and there are clean water fountains, washrooms, and food stalls at different price points on site. Security won’t let you bring food in, so plan for that; free lockers are available. Parking is paid and outside the grounds, but the free buses and E-rikshaw are useful. The express pass is worth considering on Fridays and weekends. The complex is well built and quite accessible for wheelchairs and strollers, with escalators throughout. The view of the dam from the gallery is amazing, and visiting the world’s tallest standing statue was a great experience. Highly recommended. Check out my videos and images, and follow me for more detailed reviews.

Jungle mei Mangal, a lovely outing for growing kids and the family. Worth a visit.

The place itself is beautiful and has the latest technology, and the ticket-window pickup for tourists works well. But the return bus setup is very poor, with no security or system for people waiting to board. There’s also nowhere shaded for visitors to sit and rest. Digital payment is another problem: if someone doesn’t have a debit or credit card, how are they supposed to get a ticket? They should add Google Pay, PhonePe, or another mobile payment option.

At the time it was completed, the Statue of Unity was the world’s tallest statue. Located on Sadhu Bet island in the Narmada River near Ekta Nagar, it stands 597 feet (182 meters) tall, or 787 feet (240 meters) including its base. It depicts Vallabhbhai Patel, India’s first deputy prime minister and a leader in the independence movement, often called the “Iron Man of India.” The statue is downstream from the Sardar Sarovar Dam, a project Patel had envisioned and which was completed in 2017. It was commemorated on October 31, 2018, the 143rd anniversary of Patel’s birth.

The laser light show was a captivating way to end the visit, and the observation deck offered breathtaking views across the landscape. Inside, the museum is informative and well curated, giving a glimpse into Sardar Patel’s life and contributions. Standing at the base, I felt proud of his vision. The statue’s immense scale and intricate detail left me speechless, a real testament to human creativity and engineering. I also admire the commitment to sustainable practices. This visit left me inspired by the values of unity, leadership, and progress. A destination full of wonder.
