OYO 19664 Aman Hotel

The Oyo customer service line put me on hold twice for a senior person, then disconnected after a long wait. Nobody called back to see what was happening. At the hotel, they first resisted when I complained, then moved me to a room that was only a bit better. The TV and wi-fi didn't work there, and calls from the room phone to reception went unanswered multiple times. The first room didn't feel like an OYO standard room at all. Its door lock didn't work properly from inside, the flush water connection was faulty, the sheet was stained, and the phone was disconnected. An extremely bad experience.

The hotel is easy to find, and the staff were helpful when I checked in. The rooms were okay to stay in, though they didn't look like the pictures in the app. The worst part was checking out: reception handled the checkout smoothly, but if you booked through an online app, they took your phone and gave the hotel five stars in every category to get more bookings. I really didn't like that.

The room had a small patch of paint peeling off the wall beside the bed, about 5 inches. Housekeeping once told me to make do with a plate because no bowl was available, though they brought a bowl after I insisted. The hospitality wasn't professional. While construction is ongoing, getting down from the highway to the hotel depends on a poor-quality ladder that they often remove. It seemed they were more worried about losing the ladder than losing customers. Better access would earn this place a five-star rating.

It's affordable, clean, close to NH24, and easy to reach from Noida and Delhi. There are lots of banquet halls nearby, so people coming from far away for weddings there can book a room for the night. This is also the place we use as a landmark when ordering from Amazon, since it's my neighbour place.
