Amritara Serenity

For exploring South Goa's sanctuaries, treks, and waterfalls, this resort is well positioned. It’s right beside Salaulim dam, surrounded by greenery, and a calm, serene place to stay. The rooms are great, staff are helpful, and room service and housekeeping are quick and precise. The restaurant menu is small compared with other hotels, but the food tastes great and isn’t much more expensive. If you’re driving, check the route with the resort so you don’t end up at the small bridge on the other road.

I don’t understand the many positive reviews. I booked three days at this resort but left within a few hours and got no refund for checking out early. The location is extremely isolated, in a jungle or remote village, with no markets, shops, or taxi services nearby. You hardly see anyone except hotel staff, and the hotel doesn’t have any taci service either. It’s about 2-2.5 hours from Goa’s popular beaches, with nothing around for at least 20km. Please check the exact location before booking, especially if you’re traveling to Goa from far away. The photos are misleading and the actual experience is very different. I lost ₹22,000 after the hotel refused an early-checkout refund. I’m posting this so others don’t have the same experience.

I liked how calm and peaceful the stay was, and the rooms were clean and hygienic. Service was excellent. Amritara made us feel comfortable throughout the trip, and salaulim dam is within walking distance.
