Holiday Inn Resort Goa

The staff made this stay, especially the front desk team, who helped us figure out which rooms suited our family at check-in. Every staff member was eager to help, and when we needed to sterilize our baby's bottles in the restaurant kitchen because there was no microwave in our room, they went out of their way for us. We stayed four nights over Christmas and found it relaxing. The onsite restaurants, especially the Beach Grill, served such good food that we didn't need to eat elsewhere. The beach was pristine and a short walk away. We enjoyed playing in the sand and driving a little way to Mobor Beach, where the sea meets the river Sal. Many thanks to the front desk staff, the su-chef, and the Beach Grill service crew and chef. We'll definitely come back to Goa.

The property was well maintained, and housekeeping did a fantastic job. We saw peacocks and parrots, though unfortunately we couldn't capture them all. Food quality could be better, although the Sunday brunch at zest is worth trying, with a very wide spread. The buggy service needs more staff, and mothers with infants and senior citizens should get priority. After two days we were bored, since the activities seemed suited to kids more than adults. For what the resort offers, it felt a little overpriced.

The location is beautiful, and the junior staff, including the buggy drivers, servers, and housekeeping team, were courteous. Beyond that, our stay was extremely disappointing. We came as a group of 43 people in 19 rooms from Oct 2-5, 2025. Check-in was chaotic, with several rooms not ready until after 3:30 PM, well past the official time. Room quality was average, and the villa sizes varied considerably without that being disclosed. The food was mediocre even though we had the all-meals package. At checkout, staff insisted the whole group leave by 11 AM, despite the official policy saying 12 noon, and were rude about it. The duty manager, Mr. Ranjan, was unprofessional and dismissive throughout. Poor management, inconsistent policies, and no hospitality. I wouldn't recommend this for families or groups.

We loved eating at the Beach Grill, right on the beach. We went twice and enjoyed both the food and drinks. Thanks to Nitin and Satish, apologies if I've got the names wrong, for the friendly service and good recommendations. We also had a 60-minute rejuvenation massage, and both masseuses were amazing. It was so relaxing. Our room came with breakfast, and the buffet had lots of choices, especially good if you prefer non-spicy food. We tried the dinner buffet once, which was mostly Indian cuisine. It was good, though not as impressive as breakfast. We traveled from the USA to Goa, India, for vacation and enjoyed every day at this beautiful beachfront resort. The spacious room had a private sea facing balcony and a very comfortable king-size bed. The landscaping was lovely, with comfort and scenic views together. We'd definitely love to return.
