Thulung homestay

After riding my bike from Gangtok through Lava, I spent a rejuvenating night at Thulung. It's an awesome place to stop before heading into the bustle of siliguri and the heat and humidity of the plains. The tea gardens are beautiful.

We only stayed one night this time, but we'll definitely stay longer on our next visit. The well-kept swimming pool and easy access to highways and nearby facilities are big pluses. In its quiet setting among betel nut trees, it's a good fit for families with children or elderly members. A lovely place to relax, with a friendly owner who adds a personal touch and knows the area well.

What made the stay special was the owner’s warm welcome. It really felt like visiting a relative's home, and the meals were delicious, homemade and comforting. The place was exceptionally clean, surrounded by green space and a beautiful betel nut plantation. The swimming pool was clean and well maintained, just right for a relaxing dip. There was also plenty of car parking, which made things easy. I spent one night at Thulung Homestay and had a wonderful experience. It brings comfort, nature and hospitality together. Highly recommended.

I got one of the best deals, which was icing on the cake. The pool was my main reason for visiting, and it turned out to be much better than it looks in the pictures. This massive, well-maintained property is run by a gentle, decent family. It’s near all the major roads without being too high up or far away, and has the best swimming pool in the area.
